Sportsmanship words

WALT: Make connections by thinking about underlying ideas within and between texts.
This term we are learning about sportsmanship. The first activity we did was to write down 8 words to represent sportsmanship. I really enjoyed doing this because it was simple but fun.

My DLO's

Parts of a circle

Edes, verticles, and faces

WALT: Make a DLO for two things that we didn't know how to do.

This week we did two tests to find two spacific things that we need to work on then we worked out how to do them and lastly made a DLO showing others how to work it out.I really enjoyed doing this because as I was teaching others how to do this maths with the DLO;s I also got to learn myself. I hope my videos help you.

My Current Events

This is my current events work. One of the current events was that the Taj Mahal was reopening after being closed for 6 months due to COVID 19. The most challenging part of this was probably spelling everything correctly. I really enjoyed doing this because as I was writing this I learnt that the building had been closed for quite a while and I hope you learn something while reading this too.

My NZ Tour

This is my NZ tour for the third activity. This is just simply adding in the main places to New Zealand. I think that it is very important to the Maori culture to know some of the places where it all started. I really enjoyed doing this becasue I got to explore where it all started.

My GIF Maui Capturing The Sun

This week is Te Reo Maori week and for that our class is doing an arrangement of activities based on the Maori language and culture. The first activity that I did is this GIF of Maui capturing the sun. I really enjoyed doing this because it was difficult making it look right and the movement for the GIF but fun once it was finished. I think it turned out pretty good, how do you think I did?

Paroa School Disco Reflection

On the 6th of August, the Paroa disco was on and me and some other people were organizing it. We spent the whole day setting up the posters, food, and decorations. Firstly we had to make all of the posters inside to show people what's available and what the prices are.

Next, we decided to start making the food which was 50c bags of popcorn, $1 bags of lollies, and last but not least pre-packed bags of chips. Due to the virus, we had to wear masks and gloves so we weren't contaminating the food. In the last block, we had to start decorating which was the most stressful but the most fun. We had balloons and streamers and of course, party lights to light up the photo booth and the rest of the hall.

Overall I think the Disco went really well and that everyone enjoyed it. We also ended up selling all of the glowing things and most of the food.
